IBM 3590 Model B1A Tape Drive

The 3590 model B1A is designed for stand alone use or in automated tape libraries such as the IBM 3494 Automated Tape Library.Drives are either SCSI or Fiber attached.

IBM Model B11 Tape Drive

The 3590 model B11 is a rack-mounted tape drive with an automatic cartridge facility (ACF). The 10 cartridge ACF allows the drives to be used as a mini-library with access up to 300 GB of data (withe 3:1 compression). The B11 can be easily converted to a B1A for use in a fully automated library system. Drives are either SCSI or Fiber attached.
